This is a kyusu (teapot) by Masaki Murata, a master craftsman of Tokoname ware. Usugata kyusu (side-handled teapots) are rare and popular among Masaki's works. Beautiful kiln changes and tataki (hammered) decoration are applied throughout. Suitable for Japanese tea as well as Chinese tea. Please try holding and using this wonderful kyusu by Masaki.
