The impression is different because the director is different. Zakharova's performance is also different from her younger days (La Scala) and this time. I like both performances. The ending was my favorite of all the Swan Lakes I've seen. Especially in Odile's expression, I felt not only coldness but also sublimity, rather than deceiving the prince. You can see Zakharova standing in a place that cannot be reached by beauty and technique alone. However, in the scene of Odette and the prince's farewell, if there was a production that conveyed more of Zakharova's sorrow and grief, the story would have been more impressive and beautiful.
