This book is a reprint (Showa 56, 1981) of Natsume Soseki's "Bokusetsuroku," a collection of classical Chinese travel writings written to his friend Shiki Masaoka. It is a complete set of four items: an outer box (slipcase), an inner box, a blue cover, and the main body (text/commentary and translation), with a Showa-retro design that faithfully reproduces the atmosphere of the time. The main body is divided into the text and commentary/translation. The commentary is by Toyotaka Komiya, and the translation is by Ren'son Yuasa, making it valuable as a resource for Soseki studies and modern literary history. This book is recommended for literature fans, those looking for works related to Soseki and Shiki, and those interested in modern literature, rare books, and used books. The size of the outer box (self-measured) is 26.1 cm in height, 19 cm in width, and 3.4 cm in thickness. Although it is an unused item, there are yellowing and stains due to aging on the inside of the outer box and the blue cover, and some slight stains on the edges of the text. On the other hand, I believe that the main body, other than the case and the edges of the text, is in relatively good condition.
