The film is a popular action suspense story depicting the struggles of Frank, a drug dealer (Pusher) who loses the drugs he was entrusted with by his boss after a failed deal, and is pursued by both the police and his boss, finding himself in a desperate situation. It was first released in Japanese theaters in '99. In 2013, the trilogy, including the unreleased sequels "Pusher 2" and "Pusher 3," was released in theaters.
