Apparently formerly of Club Nouveau? For someone like me, who only really remembers Jay King and Valerie, it's a surprising background. After her solo debut, Mikki Bleu has more of an image as a ballad singer. Either way, I think she's a well-known figure in the indie soul world, and this is a 7-track mini-album released in '93. She sings her own version of the Isley Brothers cover ②, and even in the dance numbers in the second half, she shows off her roots and good vibes. For some reason, it wasn't a full album, but it's a fulfilling 28 minutes, so I won't complain.
