Metal art object by the Polish couple Magda & Andrzej Nowakowski. Andrzej, born in 1938, graduated from art high school and made a living as a metalworker. In 1973, he and his wife established an atelier and energetically produced many works. In addition to receiving many awards at exhibitions, he was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit, the Badge of Merit for Cultural Activists, and others. In 1978, he was awarded the honorary title of Master Artisan by the Minister of Art and Culture. He continued to energetically create metal art until his death in 2008. This work was produced in 2000, when his work had matured, and was obtained directly from him at his atelier on Rozana Street in Warsaw. It was immensely popular as an Andrzej doll. This is one of his works, which features gnomes from fairy tales as a motif, and is the perfect size for toothpicks or memo holders. There is also aging, but please enjoy it as an antique.
