I have made a chinkoro (hair ornament) and kanoko (hair accessory) from unused, genuine silk kimono fabric. The colors tend to wash out in the light, but the base color is salmon pink and the shibori (tie-dye) part is orange. The fabric has a slight sheen. The texture is very good, the shibori is fine, and the colors are vibrant, making it a wonderful fabric. ・Chinkoro: with tassel (matched with vermilion) Length: Approximately 38.5cm (including tassel) Made to a size suitable for 3-year-olds. Tassel: Approximately 4.5cm ・Kanoko Length: Approximately 73cm The kanoko is stuffed with fluffy cotton, and the chinkoro also has a core. All fabrics have been home-cleaned. The colored threads are also matched, and the tassels are made with silk thread, carefully finished. ✤This item uses vintage kimono fabric. I try to cut from the cleanest parts, but there may be small stains. I will note any I find during the making process, but I may overlook some.
