Chinese Yixing Zisha Teapot (Kyusu) This is an unused item purchased in Yixing, China, over a decade ago. Yixing is known as a famous production area for Chinese tea sets, and Yixing Zisha teaware is one of the most renowned ceramics in China. Its main features include: - Absorbing impurities and enhancing the flavor of tea - High heat retention, making the outside not easily get hot even when hot water is poured in - Developing a unique luster on the surface the more it is used Size: Approximately 7.5cm in height, approximately 16.5cm from the spout to the handle. Zisha teapots come in mass-produced versions using molds and authentic handmade versions. Handmade ones have inscriptions, and this item has inscriptions on the bottom, inside the lid, the handle, and inside the pot (images 4, 7, 8). In addition, the surface of the kyusu has hand-carved decorations, and there are multiple small holes inside the spout to prevent tea leaves from leaking (fine tea leaves may pass through). The condition is good as shown in the images. There is a very small scratch (image 9) that occurred during the handmade process, but I don't think it's noticeable.
