Regarding these mallets, they are listed on Yamaha's current website, but I couldn't find any detailed descriptions. I recall that the brochure at the time of release mentioned that the mushroom-shaped heads were designed to balance the mallets, especially for playing the vibraphone. I rarely perform with six mallets, but I consider six as a unit, including spares. The items for sale are four of those. They have been stored as new, but some aging is expected. Please check the photos for any warping of the shafts, unevenness in the varnish, and any other dirt on the heads. Especially with rattan shafts, unlike birch shafts, there is a "flexibility" but also a tendency to warp more than necessary. Also, please be aware that there may be some unevenness in the varnish.
