This is a beautiful sake bottle featuring a famous Chinese poem and landscape painting by the esteemed Wang Wei. It stands 275mm tall. The Chinese poem is an excerpt from Wang Wei's famous poem, "Deer Enclosure" (Luk Zhai): 空山不見人 (Kūng shān bù jiàn rén) - In the empty mountains, no one is seen, 但聞人語響 (Dàn wén rén yǔ xiǎng) - Only the sound of voices is heard. 返景入深林 (Fǎn jǐng rù shēn lín) - The setting sun's light enters the deep forest, 復照青苔上 (Fù zhào qīng tái shàng) - And shines again upon the green moss. In the deserted, lonely mountains, no human figures are seen, But only the sound of people's voices can be heard. The reflection of the setting sun shines into the deep forest, And illuminates the green moss once more. It has a very simple and timeless form.
