This is an old Timo Boll ALC with a flared grip. It's an early model, purchased when it was first released. I used it for several years and then stored it. It shows signs of use, but there's no major damage, just a few dents. I don't think it will affect its use. When I used it again recently, I found it easier to generate spin and felt it had a more direct bounce compared to the Viscaria I'd been using until recently. I used it with 09C and 05 rubbers. I've decided to use Viscaria, considering its overall balance rather than just its speed. It also feels a bit like the "fish scale" feeling that's often talked about recently, so I think the feel might be different even with the same ply construction. If you're looking for more bounce, or if you use semi-tacky rubbers or Chinese rubbers, why not give it a try?
