They are reddish-brown with a high, well-defined white and a firm yolk that doesn't break easily when picked up with chopsticks. They are also known as the king of red eggs. They are highly praised for their rich, full-bodied flavor and delicious taste. About the feed: We use fresh groundwater (water quality tested) for drinking water. We are particular about using domestic, additive-free feed, and we mix our own feed with rice, wheat, rice bran, soybeans, oyster shells, fish meal, etc., and ferment it. Fish meal is an important nutrient that affects the taste of the eggs, so we use fresh, additive-free, made-to-order bonito fish meal sourced from Kyushu. While it is common to use byproducts from farmed fish, we use a high-quality product made only from bonito. It has no fishy smell and tastes delicious. In addition to these feeds, we give them plenty of our own cultivated vegetables and green feed, which is natural green grass. Green feed contains a lot of natural vitamins and fiber, which helps to keep the body slightly alkaline, making them less susceptible to disease and growing strong. My chickens do not have their beaks trimmed※, so they can peck at hard foods like sweet potatoes and pumpkins during the winter when green feed is scarce. They especially love pumpkins and bamboo shoots. ※ We do not administer any antibiotics, vaccines, or other medications for disease prevention or treatment, so you can enjoy them with peace of mind.
