This is an old, discontinued 16cm model that is difficult to find. The older model is 9.5cm tall, compared to the current model's 8cm. Therefore, it's a good size for those who find the 18cm model too large or heavy, and it's easy to cook about two servings. (It holds 200ml more than the current 1.2L model) You'll be surprised at how much the rice tastes better with just a 1.5cm difference in height. I usually use a Le Creuset for rice, which results in a chewy and sweet finish, but I use this one when I want a slightly less sweet and more moist rice, depending on the side dishes.
