Pilot PIROT Fountain Pen Maki-e Nib Material: 14K Gold Believed to be manufactured in the 1950s. Despite being nearly 70 years old, it has been carefully used, with no cracks or dents, and the maki-e lacquer work is beautiful. I am not an expert, but the part that holds the ink may show signs of aging (photo 6). I considered opening the red part, but I was afraid of causing damage, so I am selling it as is. It is stamped with "PIROT MADE IN JAPAN 14K" (photo 2). There is no original box, but it will be carefully packaged to prevent damage during shipping.
