We sell finished products on major online shopping sites, but as someone involved in the design process for commercialization, I'm dissatisfied with the quality of recent products. This is also true when making samples. Due to actions like changing or reducing the raw material mixture, the image and colors are different, or there are color fading and misalignment issues. Even the manufacturers use image processing to hide the flaws. The design process is really tough, and even if something is created with great effort, it may not match the image, or even if it's well-reproduced, it may be rejected. When commercialization is decided and mass production begins, a sign can be sold for around 2,000 yen each, but the production cost of samples is quite high! Many items that I think are good are not adopted due to cost considerations. Conversely, things that I think are so-so are sometimes adopted (lol). There are various reasons, such as the cost of embossing molds and the difficulty of reproducing colors, but designs with clear statements tend to be favored. Designs that are immediately recognizable!
