These were passed down to me from my mother, who used to run a tea ceremony class. My mother used them for tea ceremonies. There are no instructions or boxes, so to be honest, the material is unknown. They float in water, so I believe they are made of natural wood. It is also unclear whether they are genuine lacquerware, but there is discoloration (brown) inside the bowls due to heat, which is typical of old black lacquer. I have researched various things, but it seems difficult for an amateur to tell the difference, so please understand. If you are looking for perfect natural wood genuine lacquerware, please purchase from a reputable store such as a department store. There are many scratches. Please check the photos.
