This is a Ruri-glazed tokkuri (sake bottle) from the Joseon Dynasty. Tokkuri from this period are characterized by the application of gos (cobalt pigment) with a brush, and are decorated with floral patterns in line engraving. This tokkuri can hold about 2 go (a unit of volume, approximately 360ml), but the neck is damaged and has been repaired with kintsugi (gold or silver repair). It seems that the more it is used, the more flavor it will develop. This is a rare tokkuri that would be suitable for use as a sake vessel or a flower vase.
