I removed the sleeves from an Oshima Tsumugi haori (outer garment), raised the shoulders, and removed the front panels to create a scarf-like garment. This is a simple remake, but it's made of silk, is long, and keeps your back, waist, and hips warm. It's lightweight and not bulky, making it a useful haori for this season. It can be easily worn as it doesn't lose its shape even when washed in a washing machine with a laundry net on the delicate cycle.
