Nerikomi pottery is pottery that uses a combination of different shades of natural clay to create a woven-like pattern. Generally, to prevent cracking due to differences in shrinkage rates, a single type of clay and coloring agents are used to create the pattern, but in this work, in order to appreciate the elegance of the natural clay's color tones, it is a principle to use multiple different types of natural clay. The pattern composition incorporates a variety of changes within the constraints of the clay material, aiming for "woven earth". Unique hand-twisting techniques are used for molding, creating many works that are impossible to make with molds. It seems that it is made with such care and effort.
