However, these have high buoyancy and create significant resistance, making them susceptible to currents and unsuitable for long-distance casting. Also, since horse mackerel have weak mouths, using cushion rubber is best for reducing the chance of them escaping. I highly recommend trying this rig, which solves those drawbacks. The main body is made of super-hard stainless steel wire, so it can be used universally, from light tackle with a 5-gou weight for short casts to super long-distance casting with a 15-gou weight.
