It looks gray depending on how the photo is taken, but it's a light blue. The fabric has a boucle-like, bumpy texture, so there are some areas that look like slubs. It's a top that's somewhere between a sweatshirt and a knit. I've worn it about 5 times, but please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive or concerned about minor details.
