This is a paperweight/bottle opener from Ryoan-ji Temple in Kyoto, featuring the inscription "Ware tada taru wo shiru" (I am content with what I have). It is approximately 8cm in diameter. My mother acquired it during a trip to Kyoto, likely over 40 years ago. Please note that it is an old item and shows signs of wear and age.
