This is a Koishiwara-yaki pottery jar. It features a tobi-kanna (flying chisel) pattern and comes from a kiln praised by Bernard Leach as the epitome of beauty in utility. I purchased it in Koishiwara nearly 40 years ago. The name of Koishiwara is carved on the back. Would anyone interested like to have it? There are no chips or cracks; it is in perfect condition.
