It's made of fine, soft, high-quality sharkskin, and the inside of the bag uses velvet, a material often found in high-end bags. The handle is made of double-layered leather. I have other sharkskin items, so I'm offering this one to someone who will use it. Sharkskin is unique in that it can be used for both Buddhist and celebratory occasions!
