I purchased these a few years ago. I'm selling them because I don't ride my bike much anymore. I mainly used them for winter training on my MTB. My toes never got cold, even on the coldest days, and the waterproofing is excellent, so you can use them with confidence for snow mountain rides. How about using them for cyclocross practice?
