The products we send to customers do not require seasoning, but they have some absorbency, so the pot itself can be said to be "breathing" and alive. This is what gives it its flavor as you use it. Cracks (kannyu - crazing) will appear over time, but this is not damage (a defect). This is the characteristic of a good Iga earthenware pot, so please understand this before purchasing. How to add value: Do what cannot be done with mass-produced products. In the case of pots, process the surface of the body and lid (scrape with a metal plane). Attach handles (ears) to the scraped body. The price is affected by the difficulty of the handle shape. This is the value based on the clay (raw material) and shape.
