Orders placed in the spring of this year arrived in early summer. Then, the finishing work will take an additional week for delivery. One Komabukuro (piece bag) will be attached from among the four types of "Uzumaki Ryuko Mon" (Swirling Dragon and Tiger Pattern). If you have a preference for color or pattern, please specify. If there is no specification, one will be attached at random. Please note: Although a flat box is used for photography, it is not included in the product, so please understand. As the title states, it will be provided with a square box and a piece bag. [Hon-togi Finish Customized Work] This work is a beautifully polished boxwood Shogi piece. Even if you continue to use new pieces with care, they will still get dirty, and it will not be easy to achieve the deep, flavorful boxwood color, or the so-called amber color, overnight. This work, like the carved and raised pieces of popular komashi (piece maker), has been polished and chamfered. The Hon-togi finish pieces are customized works that reproduce the indescribably beautiful amber color of boxwood, as if it has been worn and polished by years of use and hand oil. To prevent dirt and to give it a glossy finish, it has been lightly wiped and polished with Ibota wax. By using it for games and studying Kifu (game records), I believe the amber color of the boxwood will deepen further.
