Aichi (Aichi Tokei) - Antique Wall Clock (with winding key) Likely from around the Showa 30s (1955-1964) Two-rod chime, strikes twice (ding-dong). Chimes on the hour and at the half-hour. The bottom of the case has been cut to accommodate the two longer chime rods. The pendulum glass is beveled (cut) glass with a star-shaped cut in the center. The mechanism has been oiled and adjusted. Approximately 52cm high, 26cm wide, and 13cm deep. The wooden case has discoloration, stains, and scratches. The dial has stains, discoloration, dirt, faded lettering, and scratches. It has been running for about two weeks. There may be some slight time drift, but it keeps time reasonably well. As it is an old clock, there is no guarantee against mainspring breakage or the operation of any parts. Please understand that this is an antique item and consider accordingly.
