Volumes 1.2.14.18.19.20 have been opened, but they are almost unused, so I think you can buy them with confidence. There are no scratches, stains, or yellowing. On the other hand, volumes other than the above 1.2.14.18.19.20 are new and unopened. They are in the individually packaged state they were shipped in. I bought them thinking I would definitely read them, but I haven't had much time to read them because high school is busy... They also take up space, so I've been keeping them in good condition...
