Purchased new from Rakuten in August 2023. Used for 2 years. While it looks well-used, it's a copper pot, so even if it were new, it would develop this kind of patina after a month of use. I cleaned it with neutral Hayabright EX, so some of the copper color is showing. The shine in the photos will disappear after cooking rice once, and it will become a duller color, but that's the nature of copper. It is not a defect. Soaking it in neutral Hayabright EX (available at Monotaro for 1000 yen) will restore its shine. It would become even cleaner if polished with an acid cleaner, but I didn't want to damage the copper, so I didn't do that. I will ship it with a tracking number within 24 hours of purchase.
