It features the optional, expensive full Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF) floor, making it the lightest in the Durston lineup with this configuration.
This is a Japan-exclusive model, a very rare UL solo tent imported directly from Canada. It is highly regarded overseas as a UL tent that can handle alpine conditions, bad weather, and even late-season snow.
Despite being a 1-person tent, the X-Mid's unique structure provides high livability, with ample floor length and width, and two vestibules on either side, accommodating wide mats and winter gear.
It can be set up with two trekking poles, and its simple structure makes it easy to pitch even in wind and rain, making it easy to handle for UL beginners to advanced users.
The DCF canopy and steep panels provide high weather resistance, making it a full-fledged shelter, not just for fair-weather use.
