Leica Summicron 35mm f2 First Generation, 8-element lens, made in Germany. The items for sale are the lens, hood, front and rear caps, and a third-party filter, as shown in the first image. I am very fond of this lens, but I am selling it due to financial needs. The exterior shows considerable wear due to its age, but the operation and image quality are not affected. You can enjoy very soft and delicate images. The focusing helicoid has some play, but it rotates smoothly, and the infinity lock functions properly. You can experience the excellence of industrial products from that era. As an example of how the lens looks when mounted, I have included images with a Leica M2 and sample photos. Personally, I love the well-worn look of this camera and lens combination from the same generation. The sample photos were taken with this set at maximum aperture, and I believe the focus is spot on. Please note that the M2 is not included in the sale. If you wish, I can include it for an additional 100,000 yen (there are scratches and dents, but it functions without issue). If you are a Leica 35mm fan, you've probably dreamed of owning a Made in Germany 8-element lens. They are currently quite expensive, so if you thought it was out of reach, please consider this opportunity. The lens has a dent on the tip of the lens barrel, but it does not affect image quality or filter attachment. There are also scratches and minor imperfections on the lens surface commensurate with its age (see images 6-7). Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a pristine item. The hood has some distortion and scratches as shown in the images, but it functions without issue and can be securely attached to the lens (see image 3). As stated above, I have confirmed that it is usable, but there may be oversights upon close inspection. This is a used lens manufactured over 60 years ago, so I kindly ask for your understanding before purchasing.
