Purchased as a used book. Both volumes: No writing inside Case shows wear and tear Cover shows discoloration and soiling Staining on top and bottom edges Volume 1, lower right corner of the cover, and volume 2, lower left corner of the back cover have what appears to be water stains (images 3 and 4), but it hasn't penetrated inside. Considering its age, the inside is clean, and I think you'll be able to use it comfortably.
