I want to show this to children in social studies class... This is that kind of item. These are Japanese language textbooks thought to have been used from the Meiji era to the Taisho and early Showa eras. Back when textbooks weren't one per person, they seem to have been carefully shared, and there are notes in different handwriting mixed in. As for the contents, I've included photos of some modern translations. The paper inside is closer to washi (Japanese paper) than regular paper. I think it's valuable as a historical document. It's a precious item that survived the war.
