This is an old Sanpo (altar table) from my grandparents' house, dating back several decades. It comes with the wooden original box (with stains and scratches) and the paper used for protection (torn). It is a magnificent Sanpo (altar table) with a refined vermilion color and gold decorations. It appears to have been used a few times, but it has been stored for many decades without being used. The old newspaper used as cushioning during storage is from 1937 (Showa 12), so I believe it is over 80 years old, but the details are unknown. From a casual glance, it appears to be in a clean condition that doesn't show its age, but upon close inspection, due to its age (?) and the materials used (?), there are some areas with fine cracks and uneven paint. Please check the main areas in images 17, 8, 19, and 20. I think the damage is minor enough that it won't be noticeable when displayed and used, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details. ◉ There may be minor scratches and cracks in areas not shown in the images.
