I am listing the previous model of Patagonia's top-of-the-line waders, the Expedition Zip Front. (Size SSS) Purchased new in May 2021. Used for stream fishing and lake fishing. I work at an outdoor shop and a store that also sells fishing gear, so I believe I have handled the waders and their maintenance almost perfectly. However, after more than 4 years of use, there are several damages, which I will detail below. - In early 2025, a hole developed and leaked water in the right shin area. I sent them to Patagonia for repair, and they fixed it using the heat press method. →During a lake fishing trip in December 2025, my clothes felt slightly damp. It's not a gushing leak, but I've realized it's becoming a bit questionable. I have since reinforced it myself from the inside with Aqua Seal UV, but I have not tested it. - In the winter of 2024, a hole developed and leaked water in the right knee area. I self-repaired it from the inside with Aqua Seal UV. Currently, there is no leakage. - The fabric in the hip area has thinned, although it wasn't leaking, so I self-repaired it with Aqua Seal UV. - The YKK zipper shows slight signs of deterioration. After fishing trips involving deep wading, the outer layer of clothing worn underneath gets slightly damp. - No leaks from other areas. - There are fabric tears on the back and gravel guards. However, these do not affect leakage or usability at all. - The booties, which are the most concerning part, have had no leaks for 4 years. Perhaps it was a good unit, or perhaps my usage was good... The size is SSS. Please refer to the manufacturer's website for detailed dimensions. I usually wear size 26 cm sneakers. My height is 163 cm. I have a slightly sturdy build. I go lake fishing even in mid-winter, and there is enough room even with substantial layering. The original box, zipper lubricant, and a fly patch as a bonus are included.
