This is being listed as part of my father's collection organization. This is a Fernandes TEJ-45, believed to be from the late 1980s. It's a very rare early model in the TEJ series, featuring the popular "gold logo" specification, and with only a logo engraving on the neck joint plate and "no serial number." The parts and electronics are fully original passive specifications, but it has a very powerful output, and the tight, strong core sound characteristic of the TEJ is still very much alive. *Although there is no marking on the PU, it is equipped with the original DS-1 pickups. [Condition] Exterior: Considering its age, it is in excellent condition. There is only one significant ding on the back. There are thin scuffs on the upper back and top that are only visible under certain lighting conditions, but the overall gloss is good and it is clean. Neck: Almost straight. There are faint tiger stripes (tiger maple) visible, suggesting that high-quality wood was used at the time. Frets: More than 80% remaining. There are slight string marks (uneven wear) on the frets, but there is no buzzing or choking at present, and it plays well. Electronics: Sound output confirmed. Both volume and tone controls are in good condition with no crackling. Parts: The tuners are reliable GOTOH. There is some age-appropriate dullness on the metal parts, but they operate smoothly. In particular, the bridge and plate have some rust and dullness. (See images) The neck is almost straight. (The truss rod has not been touched, so its condition is unknown.) String height (at 12th fret): 6th string approx. 2.4mm / 1st string approx. 1.8mm It is very easy to play and ready for immediate use.
