This is convenient for mashing potatoes for potato salad, etc. It's also useful for egg salad. It's quite sturdy, so I don't think it will deform with normal use. It has a decent weight to it. The price when I bought it was 1500 yen. I rarely used it at home, but perhaps because I kept it in a drawer, there are some minor scratches.
