Thank you for viewing. This item is a pair of Japanese-style sandals (zori) made with precious Tsugaru Kogin-sashi embroidery. The Kogin-sashi thread has a tasteful color reminiscent of matcha green. The thong (hanao) is designed to match the color of the Kogin-sashi, using a deep matcha green and elegant beige in a two-layer construction. The fabric of the thong is a fluffy, brushed fabric that is gentle on the feet. The platform is made with carefully embroidered Tsugaru Kogin-sashi fabric, and the neatly embroidered Kogin-sashi looks like a work of art. The Tsugaru Kogin-sashi fabric and thread used on the platform are plump and lustrous, and they don't seem like they have been stored for a long time. Also, the fabric being embroidered on seems to be a valuable linen fabric that is originally used for Tsugaru Kogin-sashi (this is my personal opinion). Judging from the condition of the item, it seems to have been carefully used and stored. Regarding the detailed condition, there are no noticeable stains, tears, or fraying on the platform fabric, but there are some loose threads, irregularities, and fluffing of the Kogin-sashi thread. Also, there is a slight gap at the point where the platform and the wrapping are adhered to each other at the toe. It is firmly adhered and not unstable. I don't think it will interfere with use. Please check photos 12 and 15. There are some slight stains and color changes on the heel part of the wrapping, but there do not appear to be any scratches or tears. The soles have slight traces of use, and there is some rust on the metal fittings, but overall, they are in good condition. Even here in Tsugaru, there are few people who own Kogin-sashi zori. Kogin-sashi is a traditional craft of Tsugaru, which Aomori is proud of. I hope you will take it in your hands and take a look.
