[7] Condition: No noticeable scratches, but there are small, light brown stone patterns and some scuffs and stains on the lower edges of the hill (ink grinding surface). [8] Shape: Large natural inkstone ⭕️ The artisan was recognized as a "Contemporary Master" in 2009 for his outstanding skills. ◉ This work makes full use of natural stone. In particular, the unique stone patterns of Amehata stone are beautifully visible, flowing diagonally from the ink sea on the right side of the inkstone to the lower left side of the hill. When a light is shone on the hill, it shines fantastically and silver in patches. The sides of the inkstone are roughly finished, making good use of the natural stone. The inkstone rim, sides, and underside are thickly lacquered. Inside the inkstone rim, the light brown stone color unique to Amehata stone appears in places.
