I received these over 40 years ago and have kept them for many years. They show signs of wear, including dirt, small scratches, dullness, fading, and fraying and fading on the ribbons. The left kokeshi doll is missing its ribbon. The material is wood. I cleaned them with a tightly wrung cloth. I think they are in relatively good condition for their age. The ribbons are removable.
