The film, set against the backdrop of fencing, depicts the love and suspicion between two brothers. Ji-han, the older brother, is released from juvenile prison after seven years for accidentally killing his opponent during a fencing match. He reunites with his younger brother, Ji-jie. Ji-jie believes his brother's words that it was an "accident" and begins to learn fencing from Ji-han. As the brothers try to make up for lost time, Ji-jie remembers that when he nearly drowned as a child, his brother didn't immediately reach out to help him. Why was that? As his doubts deepen, a nightmarish incident occurs. Liu Xiu-fu gives a fresh performance as the younger brother, Ji-jie, while Tsao Yu-ning embodies the arrogance and fragility of the older brother, Ji-han. The director and screenwriter is Nethicia Low, a talented newcomer making her feature film debut. Director Low, who has experience as a Singaporean fencing representative, was inspired by a real incident in Taiwan and her own family relationship with her brother.
