"Codex Seraphinianus" The Codex Seraphinianus (Latin: Codex Seraphinianus) is a book written by Italian artist Luigi Serafini, who worked in painting, design, bronze sculpture, ceramics, and architecture, as well as being an industrial designer. He spent 30 months from 1976 to 1978 creating the book, which features indecipherable text and illustrations. The book is approximately 360 pages long (depending on the edition) and has the appearance of an encyclopedia about an unknown world, written in an incomprehensible alphabet (at least to us), which is one of the languages of that world. The first edition was published in 1981 by Franco Maria Ricci, and the currently circulating edition was published in 2013 by Rizzoli.
