This is an extremely rare early canvas artwork, "Painter Princess," by ROAMCOUCH. Furthermore, this is a completely unique, one-of-a-kind piece, as the artist changed the eye color specifically for this artwork. Regarding how I obtained it: Although sales had already ended at the time (2012), an acquaintance made a direct request, and the artist kindly agreed to paint it for me. As a special touch, the artist changed the eye color. The artwork I own has blue eyes (photos ②④), while the standard version has emerald green eyes (photos ⑧⑨⑩). Influenced by manga, he began drawing from a young age and gained experience as a designer after graduating from high school. His experience with a serious illness gave him an opportunity to reconsider his life and career, leading him to become an artist. He began his artistic activities under the name ROAMCOUCH in 2011. He presents beautiful and romantic works composed of over fifty hand-cut stencils (templates) in solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally, redefining the conventional concept of stencil art. In 2014, his first solo exhibition in New York was a sell-out. From the same year, he started the Emotional Bridge Project, a project to paint murals free of charge, mainly in his hometown of Anpachi-cho, Gifu Prefecture. He is trying to attract art fans from both inside and outside the prefecture, as well as from overseas.
