Carlos Aguirre Grupo's third album, released in 2008 and commonly known as "Violeta (Purple Vinyl)," is now available on vinyl. This masterpiece, in which Carlos Aguirre, along with his deeply trusted musical companions, aimed for the highest expression in both the music and the ensemble, transcends the boundaries of contemporary neo-folklore, creating a highly refined soundscape. This work, which has influenced many artists both inside and outside of Japan, still offers fresh surprises and discoveries with each listen. Carlos Aguirre held a concert tour in Japan in 2024, his first in five years. While the afterglow of that excitement remains, his third album, released in 2008 with his own group, commonly known as "Violeta (Purple Vinyl)," is now available on vinyl. Following "Crema (White Vinyl)" (2000) and "Rojo (Red Vinyl)" (2004), Carlos and his group created a soundscape that can be called the pinnacle of neo-folklore, with a vast soundscape filled with rich poetic sentiment. The ensemble, honed through performances with members Carlos deeply trusts, is a spectacle, crafted with a wide range of musical backgrounds and free ideas. This all-instrumental work, which includes three masterpieces exceeding 10 minutes with varied developments, draws listeners in like a large painting.
