This is a GUDA DRUM, a Ukrainian handpan that produces beautiful tones. Due to the Russia-Ukraine war, this instrument is now difficult to obtain. The instrument is approximately 50cm in diameter and 20cm thick. It's a convenient size, easy to carry, and produces a good volume of sound. The scale is the common D minor scale. The third note from the top, A, is tuned to 440Hz. This is a type of handpan with cut-outs, so it has a long sustain (the duration of the struck note). Compared to the Russian RAV drum, it has a sound quality that is a bit closer to a wooden slit drum. The soft, warm sound has an excellent healing effect.
