This is a used AC-tuned ocarina, the Yumiba Satsuki model, made by the Taiwanese ocarina maker, Focalink. There is very slight dirt in the grooves of the engraving, but it is in overall clean condition with no cracks or chips. The sound has been tested and confirmed. The following is an excerpt from Ocarina House, a specialty ocarina shop, about this model: "This is the signature model of ocarina player Satsuki Yumiba. The design is based on the motif of a 'swan,' and was created through a joint development with 'Focalink,' with Satoshi Osawa, Satsuki Yumiba's teacher, as an advisor. The Yumiba Satsuki model is designed to require more breath in the low register than the lacquer finish models (with a stronger breath to match the pitch and a rich sound). Therefore, it is possible to deliver a rich ocarina tone without suppressing emotion in the low register. The high register is slightly easier to play than the lacquer finish. The pitch is designed to match by increasing the amount of breath from the low to the high register. Therefore, it is possible to play with a very expressive sound in the high register. (Please note that the pitch will be lower if you use less breath in the high register.) The windway, the path through which the breath escapes from the mouthpiece, is made very narrow, making it easy to control the breath and allowing for techniques such as vibrato.
