Sirt Battaniye is a hand-woven textile made by Kurdish nomads living near the border of Turkey and Iraq, using long mohair from Angora goats woven into cotton yarn. Because it uses raw wool that has not been degreased, it has very high heat retention, and one on top of a sheet will keep you warm. It is also recommended as a wall hanging. Due to the dry climate, the region where the Kurds live is hot during the day and cold in the morning and evening.
