This is part of the antique collection my grandmother, a hobbyist, gathered. It depicts a flying dragon, perhaps called "Hitenryu" (Flying Heavenly Dragon), rendered in gold maki-e. The inro is approximately 3.5 cm tall and 3 cm wide, a small item that fits in the palm of an adult woman's hand. The ojime is adorned with genuine coral, and the interior is decorated with gold sunago (sprinkled gold powder), giving it a splendid and elegant feel.
