This is a lecture note explaining five types of magic tricks and one technique. ◇ One Face-Down Card Place three cards on the table beforehand. Deal cards face up from the deck, and have the spectator stop you at a card they like. Place that card face down, and place the rest of the deck face up on top of it. Spread the deck face down, and there will be one face-up card. Looking at the three cards placed beforehand, they are the same rank as the selected card, as if the selected card was known in advance. ◇ My Method for the Last Trick I explain a slightly different method for the last trick. ◇ Encore Trick This is a magic trick performed after the last trick. ◇ Inspiration Take cards face up so the spectator can see them, and have them stop you at a card they like. After they memorize that card, put that packet into the deck and shuffle lightly. Show the face of the deck to the spectator, and tell them to think strongly in their mind when they see their memorized card. The performer places one card face down without any questions. That card is the spectator's memorized card. ◇ Spectator and False Cut The cards are divided between the performer and the spectator, and stacked to maintain the whole with a false cut. I explain how to divide the cards into four and six packets. ◇ Scatter Location Give five cards from where the spectator stopped you, and have them shuffle them well. Have them memorize one of those cards, and shuffle them again. Place those five cards scattered into the spread deck, and have the spectator shuffle them.
